Welcome to SEND Music Time!
My name is Stuart Penman.
I am a dedicated music educator with over 19 years of experience fostering inclusive musical environments. Holding a Bachelor of Education (hons) from the University of Worcester (2010), I have specialised in special education since 2010, currently serving as the a SEND Music Lead.
My commitment to accessibility is demonstrated through the establishment and successful management of an annual inclusive music festival and the creation of a disabilities Open Orchestra utilising music technology and traditional instruments.
I hold the Certificate of Music Educators qualification from Trinity College London (2016) and as of 2025, am a qualified song therapy practitioner.
I currently contribute my expertise as the SEND Music Consultant for Plymouth Youth Music Education Service and as a member of the advisory board for Devon Music Education Hub.
I have created this site to share some of the music resources I have created over the years.
